Had a wonderful experience at Petco. We went to see the vet on a weekend for our puppy's first visit. The vet did a great job telling us about all the services they offered and all the info for new puppy owners. She was also very friendly and I thought it was funny that she said that our puppy was going to be her dog Instagram of the day and then she took a selfie with him. We'll be back for a second visit in a month!
I would not recommend this store for dog grooming. I have a 10 lb Yorkie, One year old and there was not an experienced groomer there that could groom him. They referred him out and suggested the only way anyone could groom him was if he was given some type of sedative before hand. We were new to the area and really first time dog owners. He was used to being groomed since the previous owner took him and I took him to several other groomers in the area and they all groomed our dog fine without sedating him. Lynette/Annette tried to and the store manager neither one could do it. Annette said that he nipped at her fingers but honestly, Professional groomers should know how to handle this. They made it seem like he was a 30lb pit bull trying to attack them. I even asked if they could suggest somewhere to take him and Cody couldn’t when he saw him. As you can see we had a horrible experience with them. I would try a private groomer before coming here.
Very friendly staff. Love being able to hold the small animals without the pressure to buy something.
